In the summer of 2016 I worked for DRKHRSE as a "creative services" intern. I worked on pitches, decks, spec work, flew drones, and over the last month I was there I built them a new website. I wrote all the copy, shot all the photo's, and made giff's that combined pre-existing work with my photography.
The owner and CCO Brett Landry has worked in advertising for the last 15 years, first as a copywriter and later as a creative director, for many large agencies in San Francisco, Australia, and Miami. He started DRKHRSE as a way to have real creative freedom. Over the summer we talked about a lot of the things that we both thought were bad about advertising, and who we thought was really trying to push the envelop.
The concept for the website was to produce an ecommerce site that looked like a high end fashion brand, yet sold actual advertising products.
